An intimate, literary biography

Veripuami Nandee Kangumine is a Namibian poet and writer whose work explores nostalgia, identity, and the emotional textures of memory and belonging. Her poetry often examines themes of womanhood, trauma, and the body, approaching them with careful language and visceral imagery.

Her work appears in Doek! Literary Magazine and in the anthology My Heart In Your Hands: Poems From Namibia published by UNAM Press. In 2021 she was named by Isele Magazine as one of the Young African Poets to Watch.

She is also a fellow of the Narrating Namibia, Narrating Africa Doek Emerging Writers Program, an initiative supporting emerging literary voices across the continent.
